The People's Map of Nine Mile Point

The People's Map of Nine Mile Point
This is our version of a postcard Niagara Mohawk used to distribute at the "Visitors Center" at Nine Mile. The three thin chimneys are the emissions stacks where the reactors vent radioactive gases from the cooling system. Radioactive waste is released in smaller amounts from the cooling systems and the reactor building vents. For decades, NiMo would indoctrinate schoolchildren with its propaganda at the "Visitors Center." Constellation had to close the propaganda station after 9-11. Prior to the terrorist attacks, the reactor site was open to the public to drive through on Route 104A.
