Cooling Tower Collapse
In August, 2007 one of VY's cooling towers collapsed, causing the reactor to shut down and creating a controversy throughout Vermont about the safety of the reactor and the management by Entergy. Entergy and the NRC attempted to conceal the event; a whisleblower released this photo which demonstrates just how serious this was.
